We are sad to announce that Augusto Barrios (81E) has sadly passed away, June 2025.
He was known as both adventurous and enigmatic, born in Caracas Venezuela, speaking Spanish, French and English fluently. He joined the legendary 'French Foreign Legion' shortly after leaving Shiplake and served with them for some years partly in 'Eritrea' Africa.
He lived in Dublin for twenty years working in various roles including as a TV and Film extra, including the well known series 'Game of Thrones'.
His Foreign Legion Comrades gave him a memorial send off on the 27 August 2025 in Dublin all in their full Legionnaire kit, Medals, Badges and Legion Flag, which must have been a sight to behold!
He leaves two Sisters one in Germany and one in Spain.
