The 1959 Club

As a regular supporter of the College, you will become a member of the 1959 Club. All donors will be welcomed to a special celebration drinks reception hosted by the Headmaster where we will have the opportunity to thank you personally for your generous support.

If you are a business owner, you can also benefit from a reduction in corporation tax if you donate to the College by deducting the value of the donation from the total business profits before you pay tax.

Regular giving is taken via PayPal like a subscription where the first payment will be taken when you sign up and subsequent payments will be taken on the same day of each month. If you would like to set up a separate standing order please download the regular giving form and return back to us via email or post.

For more information or to discuss the financial benefits of charitable giving please contact our Head of Community and Development, Natalie Spearing – nspearing@shiplake.org.uk

The Shiplake Society

Supporting Shiplake College with a gift in your Will can make a significant impact on the College’s ability to support more transformational bursaries and site development.

As Shiplake College is a registered charity, including a gift in your Will can also lessen the burden of inheritance tax. Under current rules, if you leave 10% or more of your chargeable net estate to charity, the Inheritance Tax rate on the whole of your taxable estate is reduced from 40% to 36%. This type of gift is generally of the greatest benefit to the College as its value increases in line with inflation.

For more information or to discuss the financial benefits of charitable giving please contact our Head of Community and Development, Natalie Spearing – nspearing@shiplake.org.uk.
