The Parents’ Association at Shiplake College plays a crucial role in supporting the school community. Comprising dedicated parents and guardians of pupils at the College, the Association organises a wide range of events and activities throughout the year. These events not only provide opportunities for parents to come together and socialise but also raise funds to support various initiatives at the school.
The Parent’s Association meet once a month – generally on a Friday afternoon - to plan and contribute to major school events and activities. Whilst there is no expectation to attend all these meetings, this is an active group. If you feel you may be able to give your time but can’t commit to regular meeting attendance, you may want to consider becoming a ‘Friend of Shiplake’ – which operates on a more needs based, ad hoc model.
Our first PA meeting of the year 18 September 2026 (3.30-4.30pm) is a great opportunity to meet the team - so please join us in Marjorie's for coffee/tea and cake and some friendly chat!
You can also click here to join the PA Club and a member of the PA will be in touch.

"I have been a parent and a member of the PA since 2021, when my son joined Shiplake in Year 7; he is now in Year 12. My daughter has just left after 2 years in the Shiplake Sixth Form.
I live in Marlow, although work in Henley and am in my final year as a trainee Integrative Psychotherapist.
I am also a Care Volunteer at the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice in Maidenhead.
I have spent over 5 years in the PA, having lots of fun, making great friends & raising lots of money for worthwhile local charities. I would thoroughly recommend either joining the PA or attending the many PA events we run each year, in order to gain the full Shiplake community experience."

Currently a year 10 parent, we have been part of the Shiplake Community since year 9, although we have lived in Shiplake since 2014. I run HoT Creative, an artisan company making personalised gifts. Before starting my company I worked as a photographer and photography teacher, and still love taking photos. I am a keen rower, love all things creative and travel whenever possible.

I’ve been a member of the Shiplake College Parents’ Association since my son (Tom) joined the school in 2023 in Yr9.
I also work as an Exam Invigilator at Shiplake College. Outside of school, I enjoy playing golf at Badgemore Park Golf Club. I also have a creative side and sell personalised wooden gifts, using a pyrography pen to create unique designs.
