Old Viking Edwin Harrison (99W) and his wife Madga, with their 3 children, are on an extrarordinary journey from London to Australia, by land and sea. Edwin and Magda own a coffee roastery - Curious Roo Coffee Roasters - along with several coffee shops - Artisan - in London. Whilst sat in London traffic one day Edwin wondered how far a bag of coffee beans could travel, and so decided to deliver a bag of their coffee beans to Magda's mum in Perth, Australia.
In February 2026, Edwin and Magda set out on their 22,000km journey to set a new world record for the longest coffee bag delivery, travelling by van, train and boat. The journey has been documented along the way - meeting coffee roasters, shop owners and growers - capturing the stories behind every cup of coffee.
The family are on day 162 of their trip, currently travelling through Indonesia, including a visit to a coffee farm, before crossing the Banda and Timor seas to Darwin, where they will start the final stage of their journey to Perth.
You can catch up on their journey so far and keep track of their progress on Instagram via @curiousroocoffeeroasters or @artisan_coffee
Good luck with the rest of your journey Edwin and Madga!
