Class of 2006: Two Decades and Counting

We welcomed back the Class of 2006 for a 20 years on Reunion last Saturday...

The Class of 2006 proved that time is no match for Shiplake bonds as they returned to the College to celebrate their 20-year reunion with a drinks reception and black-tie dinner.

The evening kicked off at 6.30pm with drinks in the Great Hall, where the air was thick with nostalgia. For several Old Vikings, this was their first time stepping back onto the grounds since their final day in 2006!

The festivities then moved to the OVR for a delicious three-course dinner. Between courses former teacher at the College, Michael Edwards, took to the floor, delivering a speech that perfectly balanced humour with a look back at the adventures of the Class of 2006!

Naturally, the table talk was dominated by "remember when" stories, as former classmates caught up on twenty years of life beyond the College. The evening drew to a close at 10.00 pm, with carriages whisking the group into Henley to continue the merriment long into the night.

The night was such a success that discussions for the 30-year return are already well underway. See you in 2036!
