We received some strong nominations for the Old Viking of the Year Awards 2025, the winners are:

Jasper Cullen – Ones to Watch (OVs under 30). Despite only leaving Shiplake in 2024, Jasper has built a successful cinematography and content creation company, Fliix. He has worked with Formula 1 Las Vegas, Pepsi, The North Face and Henley Royal Regatta – to name just a few!

Ben Emerson – Sporting Achievement, Golf. Ben was awarded Fellow PGA Professional status in 2023 and has gone on to become a successful golf coach with a string of international clients, and written a top 5 golf book in 2025. His goal is to help every golfer strike the ball better and perform at their best level possible.

George Greenaway – Charity or Community award. George won this category through his dedication to supporting others. George helped raise £13,000 for the charity that supports the Centre for Enablement (that helped his brother’s recovery and rehabilitation after a car accident). His personal experience is his motivation to carry on supporting the charity, and helping others who face the same uncertain and challenging journey that his family once took. George has inspired others to contribute, and has demonstrated a level of maturity and selflessness well beyond his years.

John Woodward – Arts and Media. John has had an extensive career in film, becoming the CEO of both the British Film Institute and The UK Film Council. He now works in a company that he co-founded, Brightstar, an independent film and TV production company He is also Chair of both Park Circus Film Group and Molinaire TV and Film post-production company.

Ben and Jasper were able to join us at the College for a congratulatory lunch with the Headmaster on 11 June.
