On Friday 7 February, the fire was lit and the tables were set as parents gathered in the Great Hall for a fantastic evening of wine tasting organised by the Parents' Association.
The tasting was expertly led by Sterl from local vineyard, Oakengrove. Parents were able to sample five of Oakengrove's wines - two sparkling wines, two whites and a red. Sterl's expertise and engaging presentation led parents through the unique taste and story behind each wine.
Complementing the wines were delicious charcuterie boards, featuring a selection of cheese and meats and supplied by Thomas Franks.
After the tasting, guests were able to purchase bottles of the wine they had sampled during the tasting.
The atmosphere in the Great Hall was lively and full of good cheer. It was wonderful to see so many parents coming together as a community to enjoy an evening of great company and great wine.
Thank you to everyone who supported the event by coming along, to Phil and Sterl from Oakengrove and to the PA for organising the event.
The next big PA event will be the Summer Cocktail Party on Saturday 28 June, more details will be available soon.
